Happy New Year 2021 to all!
A year of a somewhat different kind is coming to an end. A year that showed us that happiness, health, dreams and goals cannot always be achieved as a matter of course. Much of what we had planned, we could not implement this year. Some, however, we were able to do. New things came unexpectedly.
See our short films on coronography.net (interactive film map) at Marbach a.N., Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart, in the Steigerwald near Bamberg and in Iceland, where we did an eleven-day tour through the highlands in August 2020 (see picture).
The crowdfunding for our reshoot, where we still wanted to shoot interviews with individual hikers we met again and again in the places where they live, as well as the shooting itself, we have to postpone to next year. The completion of the film, planned for the end of 2021, could therefore move further back. Still, we've already accomplished quite a bit with the material. We created a two-hour work-in-progress version and were able to show it to a small audience at the DokuFilmTage Geislingen. The very positive reactions encourage us to continue working on the film. It will take a few more months until we have viewed all the material and compiled it into another work-in-progress version. Only after we have seen and evaluated all the material can we make a final decision on the formal. So in the end, it could be a single film, a two-parter or even a whole series.
We'll take another run at crowdfunding in early January, because in addition to continuing to shoot, we also need to fund months of further work on the film, during which we can do little else. We don't want to have too many "bread projects" on our daily schedule in 2021, as they prevent us from having time for the actual film. We hope for your support and the continuation of the crowdfunding campaign.
Now we wish you all a good end of this year and for 2021 that all your wishes and dreams can come true.
We often think about the days on the PCT! That alone is priceless, because beautiful and meaningful memories ground and motivate for what is to come. And there are plenty of plans for the future à la PCT!
