148) It still runs ;-)

After the world has been in a permanent state of Corona emergency for more than 20 months, we are back with the state of affairs after a longer period of abstinence.

An unexpected film project has demanded a lot of our time in the last 14 months, "Coronography":

On March 27, 2020, more than 50 filmmakers from the ranks of the AG-DOK will begin creating footage on the occasion of the COVID-19 shutdown. As a first collective form of presentation, these materials are entered and marked on the interactive CORONOGRAPHY map. This collective action celebrated its premiere in 2020 during the Dok.fest Munich. So far, we have contributed about 35 short documentaries with our production company do-q media, contributions between 10 and 40 minutes.

The project has meant that we are not yet as far along with our PCT film as we had hoped. But still:

In the meantime, we have screened and logged about two-thirds of the film footage. That's about 450 hours of film and 18,000 film clips! In the spring of next year, we want to complete the screening. Then we will decide on the format (one- or two-parter or series), the focus of the content, and the selection of encounters (we shot over 250!). The working title of the film is still: WALK!

We very much hope that we will be able to shoot the remaining interviews, the so-called "posttrail" interviews, starting in spring/summer 2022. Because the subsequent post-production (editing, sound and music) can only start after that - and will take at least another half a year. As soon as the corona situation allows, we will start our crowdfunding to finance the shooting and editing, probably in early 2022.

Targeted theatrical release is now late 2022.

Addendum 2020

In March 2020, shortly before the first lockdown, we were able to conduct the "Posttrail" interview with Seashells (right) in Stuttgart. And with cameraman Notker Mahr (left).

Seashells has meanwhile moved to Denmark with her American husband Lawrence of Cascadia. The PCT must have accelerated the decision-making process ...

The remaining interviews are expected to take us to the following countries: USA, Alaska, Brazil, Israel, Russia and South Korea.

Once around - Around the world in 1000 days

Ah yes! The kick-off of the PCT 2019 was only two years ago. But the next project is already here!

Once around - Around the world in 1000 days.

It just always needs a new perspective. However, it will take some time until then.

Norway Nordkapp 2021

Nordkapp is also the official starting and ending point of the E1, the European long-distance hiking trail.
Nordkapp is also the official starting and ending point of the E1, the European long-distance hiking trail.

Last summer we baked smaller rolls and hiked from the Swedish-Finnish border to Norway to the Nordkapp, one of the northernmost points of the European mainland. Three weeks and 450 km we were on the way and were allowed to marvel at impressive Nordic landscapes. From the running and the weather it was however also a very demanding tour. Instead of hiking you could easily talk about water walking. Soon there will be more to see ...

ISLAND SPRENGISANDUR 2020

The year before, in August 2020, we did an eleven-day hiking tour in Iceland.

On the approximately 250 km long way from the north coast to the south, you cross the Sprengisandur, a part of the Icelandic highlands and the largest desert in Europe. It lies between the glaciers Hofsjökull and Vatnajökull.
